PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024 Scheme Details
The Government of India has introduced the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, aiming to benefit over 140 castes within the Vishwakarma community. The program offers low-interest loans along with various advantages. These include complimentary training, a daily allowance of ₹500 during the training period, and a ₹15,000 grant to purchase toolkits. This PM Vishwakarma Yojana financial assistance will be a ray of hope for struggling artisans.

1.Recognition:
Successful Applicants will be recognized as Vishwakarmas and will be given a proper ID Card and Certificate for future use.
2.Skill Upgradation:
a. Skill verification process will be followed by 5-7 days (40 hrs) of basic training.
b. Interested candidates can also enrol for 15 days (120 hrs) advanced training.
c. A training stipend of Rs. 500 will be given.
3.Toolkit Incentive: Rs. 15000 grant.
a. A toolkit incentive of up to ₹15,000 will be given to the beneficiary after Skill Assessment at the start of Basic Training.
b. The incentive will be provided through e-RUPI/e-vouchers.
c. Beneficiaries can use these e-vouchers at designated centers to buy upgraded toolkits.
4.Credit Support:
a. Unsecured Enterprise Development Loans:
First Phase: Up to ₹1 lakh, to be repaid over 1.5 years (18 months).
Second Phase: Up to ₹2 lakh, to be repaid over 2.5 years (30 months).
b. Concessional Rate of Interest: artisans will pay 5% interest. The government will cover up to 8% interest.
c. Credit Gurantee fees to be borne by Government of India.
5.Incentive for Digital Transaction:
Re. 1 per transaction for maximum limit of 100 transactions monthly.
6.Marketing Support:
The National Committee for Marketing (NCM) will provide services including Quality Certification. Additionally, they will manage Branding & Promotion, e-commerce integration, participation in Trade Fairs, advertising, publicity, and other marketing efforts.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana Eligibility criteria are as follows:
1. Minimum Age of the applicant at the time of application must be 18 years .
2. A person in government service holder or their family members can not apply in this scheme.
3. Only one member in the family can register avail the benefits of this scheme.
4. People who are working in the trade of 18 family-based traditional trades mentioned below are eligible in this scheme. They must be working with hands and tools. They should be in the unorganized sector or self-employed.
5. Applicant should be engaged in these related trades at the time of application. They should not have availed any similar credit-based loan from any central or state govt. organization in the past 5 years.

How to Apply for PM Vishwakarma Yojana Benefits
- There is no fee to sign up for PM Vishwakarma. The Government will cover all costs for enrolling through CSC, registering, and issuing certificates or ID cards under the Scheme.
- Under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, all registrations will now be linked to Aadhaar, with biometric authentication for verification. Beneficiaries will receive updates about incentive disbursements via SMS.

Steps for Registration Process:
- Application Submission:
- Applications can be submitted through Common Service Centres (CSCs) or online via the Aadhaar-based PM Vishwakarma portal.
- The portal integrates with various Government portals, including Skill India Digital, and features a multi-lingual helpline.
- Application Assistance:
- Beneficiaries can apply directly or get assistance from CSCs with the help of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) or Enumerators.
- CSCs will assist beneficiaries in understanding and opting for benefits under the Scheme and inform them about the Skill Upgradation component.
- Bank Account Requirement:
- Beneficiaries without a bank account must open one with CSC assistance.
- Aadhaar-seeded bank account details should be provided during application and will be used for monetary benefits.
- Aadhaar Authentication:
- Aadhaar authentication will be required at every stage, done via biometric by CSCs.
- Additional Registration Links:
- The portal will link to the Udyam Assist Portal for informal micro enterprises without PAN. Applicants with PAN will be directed to the Udyam Registration Portal for MSMEs.
- GeM Portal Onboarding:
- Beneficiaries will be encouraged to register on the GeM Portal for market access and public procurement opportunities.

Verification and Approval Process
There will be a 3-tier verification and approval process for the registration of beneficiaries:
Stage 1: Verification at ULB or Gram Panchayat level
- Ensure the beneficiary has been traditionally engaged in self-employment in the trade
- Verify family details to ensure only one eligible person per family
Details collected by VLEs will be certified by:
- Head of Gram Panchayat in villages
- Executive Head of ULBs
Stage 2: Recommendation and Vetting by the District Implementation Committee
- Verified details from the Head of Gram Panchayat or Executive Head will be submitted online to the District Implementation Committee.
- The District Implementation Committee will:
- Conduct the second step of verification
- Ensure proper review and recommendation of the beneficiaries’ applications
Stage 3: Approval by the Screening Committee
- Final approval for beneficiary registration will be granted by the Screening Committee.
- The Screening Committee will Review recommendations from the District Implementation Committee
- Conduct thorough due diligence
- The Screening Committee will be lead by:

- Representatives from MSDE
